Tatyana Chuvasheva
Painter, working primarily in tempera on panel
Born in 1977. Lives and works in Moscow.
After completing her academic training, Tatyana Chuvasheva developed her own distinctive approach to tempera painting, combining the traditions of Russian icon art on gesso with the refined sensibility of European Renaissance portraiture. Her works are intimate in scale yet monumental in spirit, marked by precision, serenity, and a timeless sense of harmony.
She has received numerous awards, including the Gold Medal of the Russian Academy of Arts (2011) and the Gold Medal of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia (2008).
She is the mother of seven children.
